국제연합의 헌장기구인 경제사회이사회는 1989년 약식처형특보_초법적, 자의적, 약식 처형의 효과적 방지 및 조사에 관한 원칙을 채택하고 이를 각 정부가 존중하고 국내 법률 및 관행 안에서 참작할 것을 권고하였습니다. 최근 발생한 북한의 약식 처형에 관한 대응에 기준이 될 수 있는 바, 이를 국문으로 번역하여 공개합니다.

One of the Charter-based organ, the United Nations Economic and Social Council adopted a resolution in 1989 about the Principles on the Effective Prevention and Investigation of Extra-legal, Arbitrary and Summary Executions, recommending the Governments to respect it within their national legislation and practices. As this may be a criterion for the response to the recent summary executions in North Korea, the CMHRK translates it into Korean and publicizes herewith.
