대체역 심사위원회 심사위원 임명 및 위촉식 Appointment of Alternative Service Committee Members(2020)

군인권센터 임태훈 소장은 3년 임기의 병무청 대체역 심사위원회 심사위원에 위촉되었습니다. 대체역 심사위원회는 2018년 대체복무를 허용하지 않는 병역법에 대한 헌법재판소의 헌법불합치 결정 이후 마련된 「대체역의 편입 및 복무 등에 관한 법률」 제4조에 따라 설립된 법적 기구입니다. 임명 및 위촉식은 6월 23일 서울 국방부 육군회관에서 국방부 장관 주재로 열렸습니다.

The Representative of the Center for Military Human Rights Korea (CMHRK), Mr. Lim Taehoon, Master of NGO Studies at Songkonghoe University, has been appointed as a member of the newly founded Alternative Service Committee under the Manpower Administration by the Minster of National Defense, Mr. Jeong Kyeongdu, on 23 June 2020 at the Army Conference Hall. The term of office is three years, and the members may only serve the term once more consecutively. The Committee is established under Article 4 of the new law, "Act on the Transference and Service of the Alternative Service," enacted by the decision of the Constitutional Court in 2018, veiwing that the then-"Military Service Act" was inconsistent to the Constitution of the Republic of Korea.
