아동권리위원회가 발표한 대한민국의 아동무력충돌 참여에 관한 선택의정서 최초국가보고서에 대한 2008년도 최종견해입니다.

Committee on the Rights of the Child's concluding observations and recommendations, in 2008, on the initial report for the Optional Protocol to the Convention on the Rights of the Child on the involvement of children in armed conflict of the Republic of Korea
In para. 7 and 8, the Committee expressed its concern about the State party's insufficiency of its effort in human rights education to the military personnel and gave recommendations;
In para. 12 and 13, whereas the Committee welcomed the State party's effort in elevating the age limitation of voluntary military service to over 18-year-old, it showed its concern about the fact that there is no specific provision regulating the involvement of child under age of 18-year-old in the armed conflict and gave recommendations;
In para. 14 and 15, whereas the Committee welcomes the State party's extraterritorial jurisdiction over recruitment of children under the age of 15 years into armed forces or groups, it encouraged the State party to expand extraterritorial jurisdiction for crimes of recruitment and involvement of children in hostilities;
In para. 21 and 22, the Committee delivered its concern about the fact that there is no regulations on exporting to the country where involvement of child under 18-year-old is happening, and gave recommendations.
